Backlick Park Cleanup Blitz

Dear Neighbors and Friends,

FCPA is organizing a clean-up at Backlick Park. See attachment and below for details.

Cleanup Blitz at Backlick Park on October 27 and October 28

                Event Hours:  8am – 12pm (both days)

Tasks:  Cleaning, mulching, painting, weeding, trimming trees, and picking up trash/debris.

Number of volunteers needed:  20+ (I have already secured a group on Saturday of about 10 volunteers, but the more the better).

Instructions to volunteers:  The PA will provide all materials necessary for the park cleanup.  Additionally, water and granola bars will be provided.  Please wear close-toed shoes, jeans/pants (recommended), long socks (recommended).  It is also recommended to wear sunscreen and bug spray.  Please bring gloves if possible, but gloves will also be provided by the PA.   Parking is limited – it is recommended to carpool or walk, if possible.

If you have any questions about the cleanup blitz, please contact Jenny Hines with Park Operations at Jennifer.Hines@fairfaxcounty.gov.
